Bukannya mereka serius untuk memperbaiki kinerja Windows Vista, Microsoft malah merilis Windows Seven Beta yang diklaim oleh para fans Microsoft begini nih seharusnya windows vista .
Dapat dikatakan bahwa Windows Vista merupakan produk gagal dari Microsoft, hal ini di kuatkan bahwa kernel dari Windows Seven tidaklah dibuat dari awal namun mereka memperbaiki kernel dari Windows Seven. Mungkin saat merilis Windows Vista Microsoft terlalu bernafsu sehingga belum saatnya rilis sudah dimunculkan, mirip dengan kasus Windows Me yang sekarang tidak ada kabarnya. Penulis mencobanya dengan Acer Aspire dual-core processor 1.73 Ghz dan memory 1GB. Sebuah spesifikasi yang sangat minim untuk mencoba sebuah OS semacam Vista dan Seven. Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa kinerja dari ketiga Sistem Operasi tersebut Windows Sevenlah yang kinerjanya memuaskan.
Proses start up dan shutdown lebih cepat dari Windows XP dan Vista. Padahal aplikasi yang terinstall hampir sama yaitu Office 2007, Corel X4, Adobe CS4, Netbeans 6.5 dll. Aplikasi aplikasi tersebut berjalan lancar tanpa ada leg leg yang muncul. Untuk Windows Vista penulis tidak bias bercerita banyak karena setelah mencoba selama kurang lebih 2 bulan terasa sangatlah mengecewakan sehingga penulis mengganti dengan Windows XP Professional. Kemudian awal januari 2009 lalu Microsoft merilis versi beta dari Windows Seven, penulis pun mencicipi ketangguhan barang anyar Microsoft ini. Awalnya memang tampilan Seven mirip dengan Vista, namun untuk kinerjanya jangan ditanya. Microsoft akan merilis sekitar 6 versi dari Windows Seven yaitu terdiri dari Starter, Home Basic , Home Premium , Professional , Enterprise dan Ultimate.
Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa kinerja Windows Seven sudahlah bagus dibandingkan dengan OS sebelumnya. Walaupun versinya masih Beta namun kinerjanyas sudah mumpuni, semoga saat rilis versi finalnya Windows ini makin maknyus kinerjanya.

Kemudian awal januari 2009 lalu Microsoft merilis versi beta dari Windows Seven, penulis pun mencicipi ketangguhan barang anyar Microsoft ini. Awalnya memang tampilan Seven mirip dengan Vista, namun untuk kinerjanya jangan ditanya. Microsoft akan merilis sekitar 6 versi dari Windows Seven yaitu terdiri dari Starter, Home Basic , Home Premium , Professional , Enterprise dan Ultimate.
