Electronics and Instrumentation is a branch of science / engineering that combines knowledge of electronics and instrumentation required in an industry. In industry, electronics knowledge is required to support the measurement and control systems of industrial instrumentation control. In a chemical industry, for example, a variety of chemical reactions must be measured and controlled both the temperature, the volume of a mixture of materials, pressure, degree of acidity, and others. While the steel industry and metals, high temperature must be measured accurately by using electronic measuring instruments for the control of the metal pressing on the desired thickness. In general, measurement equipment or electronic measuring instruments are part of the basic instrumentation used in almost all industrial fields.
Electronics and instrumentation, not only applied for the chemical industry and steel industry alone, but required also for car factories, sugar mills, paper mills, food processing plants, for medical instrumentation, and for manufacturing electronic devices themselves (such as mobile phone manufacturing plant, a factory making chips / integrated circuits, computer manufacturing, etc.). Forms of physical variable (physics) and the chemical used for basic control instrumentation in this field include:
