Paris Commune

Paris Commune (French: La Commune de Paris) name for the city government of Paris during the French Revolution. This term is used to refer to the socialist government that briefly ruled Paris from March 18, (formally began on March 26) until May 28, 1871.

Paris Commune was the first government dominated by the working class. Karl Marx described it as "the result of the struggle against the exploiters producer, a political form at last discovered that we can run underneath the economic emancipation of the labor.
